The Artemis is a theater and film studio located above the Japan Society. This dual purpose space focuses on the theater’s ability to transform between a work space during the day and a functional theater at night. The penetration of voids through the tower seamlessly connects the flexible works space to the atrium and ground floor, and reorients the occupant as they rise so that their view is of the sky and not the surrounding buildings. This aspect of isolation is important in a theater setting when you want to feel immersed a film.
