In the heart of Kensington, Brooklyn, within Taylor & Co. Books, a modular bookshelf crafted through digital and analog fabrication methods, exists as a portal for young readers. This enchanting structure transcends functionality, becoming a tactile and visual wonderland. Soft tectonic forms, lovingly hewn from interlocking plywood puzzle pieces, invite tender hands to caress and curious eyes to marvel, whispering stories of craftsmanship and creativity. As children step into this space, they are enveloped in a magical sensation, a symphony of light, shadow, and the gentle fragrance of wood, beckoning them to explore the intricate unity of their surroundings. Here, amidst the warm embrace of the modular castle, young minds are not merely visitors but integral parts of a grand narrative, where each detail speaks of harmonious coexistence between form and function, reality and fantasy.

This is the beauty of collaboration. SOMETIMES A GOOD IDEA NEEDS A HELPING HAND. So grateful to brilliant architect-designers \_e_\_ow for exceeding my hopes and vision for a more accommodating kid’s section.

Using the golden ratio as a foundation ensure the design stands the test of time. As the hands align a Fibonacci sequence is unveiled, symbolizing the lasting harmony this cozy bookstore brings to the neighborhood.
